Did you know Facebook has 1.56 billion daily users? - To help put that in perspective that’s almost 5X the population of the U.S and 20% of the world’s population!

If you’re selling something only 0.0001% of people on earth actually want. That’s still one hundred and fifty thousand potential customers in the same location, every single day!

It can be an even more lucrative source of business than being on the front page of google… if you know how to use it correctly. And by the end of this article, you’ll understand exactly how, let’s get into it.

How to Nail Organic Content, And Gain Thousands Of Followers Effortlessly

You’ve probably heard a million times by now that if you’re not posting on your social media every single day as a small business, that you’re doing it wrong. And there is an element of truth in that statement for certain social media platforms. It is not the same for Facebook.

Unlike Instagram and TikTok, Facebook has a much heavier emphasis on quality over quantity.

Posting 3 pieces of quality content a week is far preferred by the algorithm than 7 uploads you posted because you “needed to post”

If you post boring, plain or uninspiring content, Facebook naturally shows your content to less and less people, as all they see is a page posting information no one cares about, decreasing the amount of traffic you bring to your company.

If you’re stuck here wondering “well what does my audience want to see?”- Look at what’s working for other people in your industry, and mimic their approach with your own style and tone, and the results will come.

This is the tactic I used to grow my client’s organic engagement by 104% in just 30 days.

BUT - If you find something that’s working really well, be scarce with how you use it. If you listen to your favourite song once every day, eventually you’re going to get sick of it. But if you listen to that baby two or three times a month? You feel every beat and rhythm, (you can see the metaphor…)

Action Plan:

Post 3-5 quality (as discussed) posts a week. Throw in the occasional reel and make sure it feels fresh, this will bring in new followers like moths to flame.

What NEVER To Do When Running Meta Ads If You Want To Actually Make Money, And What To Do Instead

A mistake a lot of small businesses make, is running ads purely for the benefit of more followers and brand awareness

Example: “Like, share and comment on this post to be entered in our FREE winter sweater giveaway! only entry closes in 5 days, don’t miss out!”

Yes, these kinds of ads will get you more followers and attention, BUT, and this is a big but, you bring in the wrong kind of followers.

Lots of people scrolling see “FREE” and think “gimme dat” so they sign up, even if they care 0 about you or the product they’re going to get!

These kinds of followers are what I like to call “Trojan Horse” followers, up front it looks like lots of new followers, only good things, right?

WRONG! These people will:

  1. Never purchase a thing

  2. Never engage with your posts

  3. Likely unfollow your account soon after they realise they didn’t win

Leaving you in a worse position, down a couple of hundred quid, and a nice sweater.

What we want is high quality followers, who enjoy our content, and get a spike of excitement each time they see us post. Which is garnered by providing value to your market.

The only thing ads should be used for (especially when you are just a small business) is SELLING.

And Facebook makes it easier than ever.

You get to choose the age, gender, interests and just about everything important for your audience to have, and Facebook sticks it right in their faces!

Unheard of in the past 10 years.

But what about the ad itself? How do you make that as effective as possible?

This is where most small businesses struggle, they toil for months, and end up putting out and ad they know isn’t going to get them results.

So if you want a campaign that won’t leave your margin red.

Then read my article coming out later this week, where I share the 3 must-haves to make an effective meta ad - according to Meta’s director of ads!

But if you’re unsure whether to prioritise your social media over other means of client acquisition, or you have any other questions.

Then drop me a message for a free audit, I’d love to help you out!

Aren’t words awesome?

Josh
