I can’t say for sure, but I’m confident around 90% of meta ad campaigns are complete absolute flops

I mean, think about how many ads you’ve seen when scrolling Facebook/Instagram,

Now think about how many you’ve bought from.

Yup, a very very very small percentage, if any at all.

In 99% of those cases, the failed campaign comes as a result of one section of the ad, and if they fixed just this one element, their stilted results would have shot through the roof.

Let’s get into it.

First Impressions COUNT

People are fast to judge, and even quicker to lose interest.

So our ad needs to grip them from the first sentence.

Especially as they can invest 0.01 of a calorie and move onto a new meme right below it.

This is why so many ads fail.

Their headlines are all boring

“The best window painter in town!”

Or even worse

“At <business name no one cares about> we pride ourselves in our attention to detail with your gutters”

Boring

Dead. Boring.

These ads lose the customer before they’ve even realised they’re a customer.

We need something that pulls them in, and doesn’t let go until they reach the end of our ad (and hopefully spend a few of their £££ once they get there…)

How To Create A Gripping First Headline That Magnetises People To Your Ads

Headlines are your superpower to more sales.

They’re what separates the 90% of failed meta ads from the ultra high performing ones.

So how do we get it right? Well luckily there’s loads of good options.

If you are a service business, you can literally do something as simple as calling out the problem you help your target audience solve. For example: “Are your gutters leaking?” or “Looking for a wedding photographer?”.

For those with that problem, this instantly grabs their attention — it feels like you’re talking to them.

In order to create this for your own business, and your own offer you need to realise two things:

  1. What your customer desires about your product

  2. What your customer dislikes about their current situation

So for our gutter leaking example

  1. Clean gutters so their roof doesn't leak

  2. Their gutters are spilling everywhere which could leak through their roof.

When you can identify these and weave them into a headline, your ads are going to get read, and your clicks are going to skyrocket.

This’ll get you 80% of the way to a high selling ad, if you’re selling something a bit more complicated than a service product, then you can employ a few sneaky headline formulas that are working awesomely for me and my clients right now.

If you’d like to learn a few of these headlines for yourself, and how they can turn your marketing campaigns into thriving success stories.
